Can anyone please give me a link to the Canadian promo?
Throughout the series I couldn’t wait until Arthur found out about Merlins’ magic… but I didn’t like how they revealed it. The last episode seemed really rushed, and they left things hanging such as Arthur ‘will rise again’-some more explanation would be nice, or even better show the moment Arthur returns. Also Arthur and Merlins’ destiny wasn’t shown- how he and Arthur will build Albion together, how magic will return etc.
I understand that they have to stick to the legend, but they could have just changed it to suit the viewers (they did change Lancelot and Gwen after all). TV Shows do that all the time, they change the story so the viewers will like it. And another thing, why didn’t Merlin call the dragon straight away? Arthur would have survived if he did that!
I think this show had the ability and the opportunity to make the finale a lot better and more cheerful and uplifting (and I’m not just referring to Arthur and Gwaines’ death), and it is very disappointing to see that they decided to go in a completely different and depressing direction.
I’m going to watch Merlin again from the start and pretend the last episode didn’t happen! :)
